General Information & Logistics
Admission is free to the general public and tickets are not required. A limited number of preferred “Flight Line Club Seating” tickets are available for each day (350 per day). You can purchase tickets online at Extreme Tix.
Air Show Hours of Operation:
Performance hours start at 10 A.M. on Saturday and Sunday. Gates open at 0800 and close at 5pm on both days. HOWEVER, we will not admit anyone after 3 P.M. since we need to turn traffic lanes around for after the show. PLEASE arrive early!!!
Bus and Motorcycle Information:
For large groups arriving by bus and for motorcycles, please contact Lt Juan Lemus at 786-415-7537 for special arrangements.
Do’s and Dont’s:
Do carpool: Traffic flow into the base will be easier if friends and family carpool.
Do wear your seatbelt: Air Force instructions require the use of safety belts.
Do bring sunscreen and sunglasses: Shade on the flight line is limited. Take extra precautions with small children.
Do bring a camera and pen: Many of the performers make themselves available for autographs and pictures during the show.
Do bring earplugs: Loud noises on the flight line can damage your ears. Hearing protection is highly recommended.
Do bring folding chairs: Seating on the flight line will not be available. Visitors who will want to sit during the show, especially children and elderly, will want to bring light weight, portable seating with them.
Do bring strollers and wagons for the kids.
Do feel free to bring small handbags (purses), diaper bags, wheelchairs, and electric carts for the handicapped. Please remember all items will be subject to search.
Do use handicapped parking: Handicapped parking will be available for vehicles with proper identification.
Don’t bring dogs or other animals, bicycles, roller-blades, skateboards, alcohol, drugs, drug paraphernalia, fireworks, food or beverages, weapons of any kind (to include weapons carried by off-duty law enforcement personnel), blunt objects which could be considered a weapon, larger coolers, backpacks, briefcases, large bags or packages, handheld laser pointers, RVs or campers.
Don’t bring coolers. No coolers will be allowed unless a special needs requirement exists and has been authorized prior to airshow and then only a small 12 inch x 12 inch cooler will be acceptable. No outside food or beverages allowed.
Don’t bring food or drinks. No outside food or beverages will be allowed.
Don’t bring umbrellas or sun canopies. Umbrellas, tents or shade canopies are not allowed on the air show grounds. They present a risk to attendees and low flying aircraft.
Don’t smoke on the Flight-line: The entire ramp is a NO SMOKING AREA.
Don’t over indulge in alcohol: Applicable laws will be enforced. Alcohol consumption can also increase the chance of heat stroke or dehydration on a hot day.
Don’t arrive to the base late: Limited parking on base will require visitors to arrive early to ensure a parking spot.
Don’t park where you are not supposed to.
Like to Set Up a Non-Profit Organization Booth:
If you would like to apply for a non-profit organization booth, space permitting, please complete and return the Non Profit Application to firstname.lastname@example.org. The cost for a 10′ x 10′ space is $500.00. Upon approval of your non-profit booth, all tents must be coordinated and purchased through our preferred tent provider.
Like to Volunteer:
We are fully staffed with volunteers at this time. Thanks for your interest.
Parking on base will be available and will be free to the public. Handicapped parking will be available as well. Remember, on base parking is limited and subject to fill up fast. In the event on base parking becomes full, the county will be offering paid parking just outside the base. Please remember to carpool if possible. RVs and campers will not be allowed on base during the air show due to space limitations.
